Established in the 1990s, our client specialises in the design and manufacturing of laser technology. With a distinguished reputation spanning various global markets, they are widely acknowledged as an expert in delivering cutting-edge solutions for laser marking, engraving, and cutting.
They are now looking for an organised and driven individual to join their team as a Stock Controller and Production Planner. Working within this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels and ensuring efficient production processes.
(Stock Controller & Production Planner) - Position Overview
- Collaborate with various departments to create and maintain production schedules, ensuring that inventory levels are su?cient to meet customer
- Monitor stock levels, ensuring quantities of materials and finished products are correct. Conducting stock checks and coordinating with suppliers if additional inventory is required.
- Receive and process customer order: verifying product availability, coordinating with production teams, and managing delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively to customers to understand their requirements, provide updates on orders, and address any concerns/issues that may arise.
- Analyse inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand and optimise stock levels. This will involve evaluating production efficiency, minimising stockouts and reducing excess inventory to improve operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
(Stock Controller & Production Planner) - Position Requirements
- Previous experience within similar role(s): inventory/stock control, production coordinator or production planning.
- Familiarity with inventory management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant tools used in the field.
- High attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise, managing tasks and deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to create and maintain production schedules
(Stock Controller & Production Planner) - Position Remuneration
- 20 days holiday plus bank
- Working hours are Monday to Friday (8:30am-5pm)
- Salary up to £28,000
- Company pension
