Job description

This multi-skilled role will manage all aspects of order processing, stock management, transport booking and residual stock sales and donations.

As a business, we receive in excess of 100 orders, 50 external collections and 30 internal vehicles arriving from multiple production sites a day.

Ensuring Orders are processed in the most efficient way, amending orders using multiple sources of information is key to company profits by ensuring we use all available pallet space. You will have a good eye for detail to ensure you book accurate transport collections with multiple hauliers booking in excess 50 depot collections for all the major retailers.

You must have a passion for doing things the right way, ensuring we deal with residual stock in the most effective way and maximising cost recovery, by negotiating the best possible price for our products through multiple low code outlets, you will also be responsible for company donations of product to Fareshare.

In this versatile position, you will be a lateral thinker and be able to communicate effectively with production sites and external hauliers to ensure delivery optimisation. You will also need to step into the Customer Operations Coordinator role to ensure the success of the overall Customer Fulfilment Team.

The role has 5 key areas.

Key responsibilities:

  • Order Processing- Ensuring all customers’ orders received daily and orders are amended and palletised to their most efficient. Notifying hauliers of collection volumes and building load profiles in line with haulier collection profiles, ensuring loads are built to ensure as much time is possible is given to receive any stock that is being produced same day.
  • Daily stock management- Ensuring stock is rotated correctly and ensure stock levels are managed in each of the 3 buildings as the customer orders are received. Liaising with operational management on a regular basis with regard to stock availability and prioritise stock to ensure optimum supply. Ensure any stock shorts are completed in a timely manner so that operational teams have enough time to pick and load orders to the collection profile to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Transport Co-Ordination- Management of internal and external drivers onto site, ensuring the correct processes and equipment is used on vehicle trailers whilst being loaded. Ensuring loading and unloading priorities are completed and that all trailers leaving site have the correct pallets and documentation for dispatch to fulfil the customer requirements.
  • Low Code Sales and Donations- Ensuring daily that any low code stock has a decision made and that operational teams are made aware of any outcomes. Negotiate sale prices with low code outlets on any low code sales on various branded products to ensure sufficient recovery is made on the product. Liaise with charities on any stock that can’t be sold to ensure minimal stock is wasted.
  • Reporting- You will be responsible of multiple internal supply chain reports as well as the reporting of shortages to our customers which range from major retailers to smaller wholesale customers. You will also be responsible for the accurate amendments of Purchase Orders on a variety of retailers’ portals which will generate re-ordering of stock.

  • Experience in Warehouse Management Systems
  • Stock Management in FMCG
  • Customer service/focus experience.
