To be responsible for the processing of all stock deliveries for the retail shop including all direct deliveries; all warehouse transfers and all inter store transfers (including online & mail order), as well as active role in twice yearly stock takes. The role will be base 2 days a week at IWM London and 1 day a week at HMSB and may include weekend working.
To ensure that the accuracy of the stock inventory is maintained, and discrepancies are minimised by accurately counting in all stock that arrived on site and reporting on any discrepancies to the Retail and Admissions management team, increasing our financial sustainability as an organisation.
Key duties
You will be expected to work independently as well as across different teams in order to contribute to and deliver the priorities of IWM - using your knowledge, skills, talent and potential to the best of your ability.
You will focus at all times on supporting the retail team, through price checking and stock management, so they are able to deliver excellent customer service, and value for money consistently. You will assist in the organisation of the stockroom in preparation for twice annually stock takes, ensuring compliance with procedures at all times, ensuring counts are correct and stock takes run smoothly.
You will be professional, courteous and self-motivated, always demonstrating the behaviours and attributes expected of all IWM employees.
You will undertake day to day activities to the best of your ability and to the required standards; and strive to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.
You will be expected to comply with corporate standards, processes, and procedures- and undertake any necessary training as directed, to ensure consistency of service, brand and operational standards.
