Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic colleagues to join my clients Field Operations Department. Their vision is to be the best energy company in serving our 3.9 million homes, whilst delivering a sustainable energy solution. As a dedicated Stores keeper you will be an integral part of achieving this, while always striving to keep our customers power flowing. You will be responsible for the day to day running of engineering stores, issuing and receiving materials and providing a service to customers both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record accurately deliveries and issues/returns into the computer system CFS (Oracle)
- Match goods received with delivery notes
- Unload and receive goods from suppliers and internal deliveries
- Ensure that onward delivery schedules are maintained and that no goods are left unsecured or unsupervised
- Issue goods to the Engineering Department employees against stores request notes
- Maintain correct stock levels
- Stock taking to be completed at a given times
- Ensure stock security is maintained at all times
- Ensure stores are kept clean and tidy at all times
- Deliver fault materials to site
- Standby availability
Key Competencies:
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence
- Awareness of H&S at work and promoting safe working practices
- Communication skills both written and verbal
- Customer service
- IT Skills
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Lorry loader crane
- CPC accreditation
- Stores / Warehouse knowledge
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Overhead Gantry Crane
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety
- HGV Class 1 or 2 Driving Experience
