Due to the exciting and continuous growth at CIL, there is an excellent opportunity to join us as a Stores Operative, to primarily support and manage the storage and safekeeping of all components. As well as, assisting with Goods In and Despatch, checking goods for defects and storing them appropriately, completing all relevant paperwork, whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail and collaborating with your team.
Main duties & responsibilities
- Pick and delivery of stock items to relevant departments
- Ensure goods in tasks are performed accurately
- Loading/unloading of supplies and equipment
- Co-ordination of the despatch process to support both the delivery to customers and return from suppliers of components
- Ensuring stock accuracy and maintenance of system stock movements, whilst working closely with the Stores Supervisor
- Administration and system duties
- Promote and follow workplace health & safety
- Kitting duties
- Materials relocation to stores from kits, count back and operation of x-ray counter
- Support activities for annual stock check processes
- Follow published procedures and policies in line with CIL procedures
- Ability to work competently independently with minimum supervision, whilst raising any issues to the attention of the Supervisor
You will ideally demonstrate the following
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent to include English and Maths
- Good computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous experience of working in Stores or Warehouse within a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Experience working within Electronics or hold a relevant industry Qualification is advantageous
