Our client is a successful manufacturer. They are looking for an experienced Stores Operative with FLT experience to join their team on a permanent basis (this will be following a 3 month probation period).
This would suit someone with previous experience as a Stores Person / Storesperson / Stock Controller / Storesman / Stores Operative / Stores Assistant, or similar stores role, who has an in-date FLT license, with experience as an FLT Driver / Forklift Truck Operator.
ESSENTIAL NOTE: Please only apply for this role if:
• You have a decent amount experience working in a Stores Operative role
• You have an in-date Counterbalance FLT license from one of the following accreditors RTITB / ITSSAR / CITB
Salary is £10.42 per hour.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.30pm (Hours TBC)
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Receiving deliveries, checking them in, and booking into to the system.
• Keeping a record of all deliveries received by filling in the delivery log and saving all delivery receipt notes.
• Storing checked goods in correct locations, effectively organising the stores.
• Picking goods for production purpose and issuing them out to manufacturing as per schedule issued by the Manager.
• Recording all picks and issues by booking them out on the in-house system.
• Performing daily/weekly stock checks to ensure stock accuracy.
• Operating a Fork Lift Truck, transporting goods around the factory.
• Supporting manufacturing by moving large stock and goods when required.
• Any other reasonable request or ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a Stores role in a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.
• In-date FLT licence from either RTITB (Road Transport Industry Training Board ) / ITSSAR (Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register) / CITB (Construction Industry Training Board)
• Meticulous eye for detail.
• Extremely organised.
• Computer literate, and used to dealing with computer software to keep records of stock, goods in goods out, etc.
