Our client, a leading provider of processing and packaging solutions for food and beverages worldwide, is currently seeking a temporary Stores Operative to join their team until December.
As a Stores Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our client's operations by efficiently managing the organisation of goods and materials. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the global food industry while working closely with our valued customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality control.
Safely store goods in designated areas, ensuring they are easily accessible and organised.
Maintain accurate inventory records using computer systems and manual processes.
Pick and pack goods for despatch, ensuring proper packaging and labelling.
Collaborate with other team members to optimise inventory management and stock rotation.
Conduct stocktakes and participate in regular stock reconciliation activities.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the storage area.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
A valid clean driving licence is essential to facilitate deliveries and collection of goods.
Forklift licence is desirable to assist with the movement of goods.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain accurate inventory records.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work well under pressure.
