Role Overview:
As a Stores Operative, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the procurement department. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for a range of duties including updating purchase order receipts, organizing and maintaining inventory, conducting stock checks, and providing general administrative support. Additionally, you will be involved in preparing goods for painting and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize computer systems to update purchase order receipt status promptly.
- Maintain organized storage and identification of all goods in accordance with best practices.
- Manage stock control and issue of goods accurately.
- Assist in cycle counts and stock checks as required.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the procurement process.
- Prepare goods for painting by cleaning, masking, and tracking.
- Dispatch masked goods and drive as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all standards, internal policies, and specifications.
- Conduct inspections of incoming products to ensure consistency and integrity.
- Process inspection data meticulously, maintaining both hard and soft copy records.
- Produce detailed and accurate inspection records and assist in resolving any resulting issues.
