Location: David Lewis, Mill Lane, Great Warford, SK9 7UD
Hours: 37.5 (Monday to Friday – normally 8am – 4.15pm, can be flexible)
Salary: £29159.30 per year
Reporting to: Estates & Facilities Manager

Job Role:
Ensure that stock levels are maintained at the optimum level to ensure continuity of supply and to negotiate with suppliers to obtain best price and quality provision
Procure stock for issue to houses / units across all David Lewis sites on a just in time basis
Maintain accurate accounting records
Maintain the stock control and purchase order processing systems ensuring that stock levels are in line with the organisations operational requirements
Review and authorise invoices for payment following matching against purchase orders and goods received notes
Raise purchase orders for non-stocked items as requested
Undertake regular reviews with suppliers to ensure best price / quality. Negotiate retrospective discounts agreements
Ensure the accuracy of stock deliveries, operating the FIFO stock rotation system
Ensure that all requests for non-stock issues are authorised in line with the delegation of authorities list
Maintain the stock lists on the David Lewis Intranet
Line management of Stores Assistant
Day to day supervision of the Laundry team
Monitor the accuracy of picking of stock by Stores Assistant and ensure that deliveries are made to houses/units on site on a timely basis
Prepare stocktaking reports both on a regular monthly basis in line with Finance month end timetables and on an ad hoc basis to ensure the accuracy of stock receipts and issues
Maintain C.O.S.H.H data sheets in liaison with the Health & Safety Manager ensuring that no products are purchased that contradict the current Health & Safety policy
This is a hands-on role and involves manual handling of large stock items. The role also involves the delivery of goods to houses/units as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience of stores management and computerised stock and purchase order processing systems
Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages
Current driving licence
Supervisory experience including performance management (desirable)
