Job description

Stores Team Leader required. Our client is an environmentally friendly paper supplier dedicated to providing comprehensive paper solutions for businesses and the education sector. With a commitment to sustainability and quality, they are at the forefront of delivering eco-friendly paper products.

They are now seeking a proactive and hands-on Stores Team Leader to join their dynamic team. The Stores Team Leader will be responsible for managing a small team of 2 operatives, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse facility. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure smooth operations within the stores department.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 2 operatives, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of paper products in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure accurate stock control and inventory management, conducting regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfil orders and ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and machinery, arranging for repairs or maintenance as necessary.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide regular reports on warehouse operations, including performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar warehouse or stores management role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work the designated hours of 12:00 - 21:00 Monday to Friday with a 1-hour lunch break.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Benefits:

  • salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00 - 21:00 with a 1-hour lunch break.
  • 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
  • Opportunity to earn a flat £5,000 bonus per annum if the business achieves targets.
