All to ensure our Building Safety obligations are delivered on and compliance is demonstrable for our 200+ higher risk buildings where we are the principal accountable person.

The Corporate Health & Safety team forms part of the second line of defence; designing and implementing policies, providing guidance and support to enable suitable and sufficient risk management, implementing and carrying out internal audit, monitoring compliance and supporting the business change processes as appropriate.

Having relevant experience in the Building Safety area, ideally working at a similar level and preferably in the housing sector and within multi-site environments you will possess or be working towards a minimum of level 4 Building Safety qualification (or equivalent) and a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) with membership of a relevant institute.

The role will include supporting our colleagues in delivering excellent Building Safety practice across all of L&Q’s business areas, monitoring compliance along with other related duties such as delivering Building Safety training and monitoring the work undertaken by operational teams and our partner / representatives / consultants in the compliant delivery of Building Safety tasks and duties.

You will be familiar and competent in Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, and will have used this in delivering the Building Safety message through reports, guidance, procedures, mentoring and training.

Your approach and attitude will be as important to us as your academic qualifications. You will be a strong team player who is happy to have a hands-on approach in supporting the positive ‘Building Safety culture’ within L&Q. You will be willing to undertake personal development as necessary.

You will be required to travel to other offices, our residential properties or attend resident and team meetings as determined by the business need.
