The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement projects, managing supplier relationships, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring the timely delivery of products and services.

Description
- In charge of overseeing a project's workstream dedicated to enhancing processes and controls within the purchasing department, collaborating closely with the head of procurement and the finance director.
- Manage and develop relationships with suppliers to ensure the consistent supply of products and services.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to realise these savings.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure contract terms are met.
- Coordinate with internal departments to forecast future supply needs.
- Resolve any supply issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Participate in the negotiation of contracts with suppliers.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers.
- Adhere to all procurement policies and procedures.
Profile
A successful Strategic Buyer should have:
- Strong experience in strategic &/or project buying
- Degree &/or CIPS qualification
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- A solid understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
