A dynamic and results-driven individual is sought to join our team as Key Account Manager. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting Sector Leads and Account Managers managing DBT (Department of Business & Trade) KAM (Key Account Management) Accounts. Your responsibilities will extend to collaborating with local partners and colleagues in overseas DBT posts to drive growth and deliver on agreed targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a professional and knowledgeable entry point for stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships at C-Suite level within the private and public sector, leveraging your commercial awareness and credibility.
- Utilise your experience in West Midlands key sectors to enhance C-Suite dialogues.
- Develop and deliver an intelligence-led account management plan.
- Collaborate with public sector stakeholders, including Local Authority and Department of Business & Trade teams, to support managed accounts.
- Maintain strong relationships with accounts by adding continuous value, keeping them informed about developments, news, and events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a coordinated approach to Strategic Relationship Management (SRM) firms.
- Engage with industry associations and trade bodies as relevant.
- Proactively promote the benefits of the SRM offer to businesses within the West Midlands.
DBT Specialism:
- Reach out to non-engaged, strategically important foreign-owned companies to identify growth opportunities and offer support.
- Regularly review and maintain the DBT KAM project pipeline funnel.
- Provide regular management information for measuring DBT KAM targets, progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Represent the region professionally at key business events, raising the profile of the DBT KAM program.

Knowledge and Experience:
- Familiarity with key sectors in the West Midlands.
- Account management experience in the private sector context.
- Experience in information gathering, lead generation, and CRM use.
- Knowledge of DBT services, particularly investment (desirable).
