Strategic Risk Manager

Arthur is delighted to be partnering with a leading, diversified specialty insurance and reinsurance firm who are seeking a Strategic Risk Manager to manage the quantitative aspects of risk encompassing underwriting, reserving, market, credit, liquidity, and the operational risks within the capital model.
The role would suit someone who is able to manage risk holistically and leverage data and exposure analysis, scenario quantification in collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop an effective reporting suite and new insights.
Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Leading the Stress Testing, Reverse Stress Testing and Recovery and Resolution Planning activity across the business, as well as identifying Emerging Risks.
• Collaborating with the business to maintain Risk and Control registers specifically focussed on the financial risks as defined in the Operational Risk Management framework.
• Provide oversight, challenge, and support to first line teams and business partners through risk reviews and assessments of new business and strategic change initiatives.
• Assist with preparation of Group and Legal Entity risk reporting for executive risk and audit committees.

If you have experience working as part of a team within a multi-national insurance environment for at least 5 years within a quantitative function (credit, market or liquidity, reserving, underwriting) and can demonstrate effective stakeholder management then please apply.
