About the Role
The Strategy & Shopper Insights Executive will be responsible for using insight and data to understand and implement strong customer journeys on Ocado.com and the Ocado app. We want to make the shopping experience for our customers as simple, smart and inspiring as possible. Working within the wider customer marketing team to help customers to easily find their weekly essentials as well as to discover their favourite new products from Ocado's vast and exciting range.
This role is a 9 Month fixed-term contract and we work on a hybrid basis (2-3 days in the office a week).
Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Ecommerce Strategy & Shopper Insights team in developing an in-depth knowledge of customers and their shopping behaviours, using a suite of data and insight sources and tools.
  • Driving the quality of customer journeys by identifying opportunities for improvement across the business
  • Conducting strategic shopper and category reviews to understand how particular subsets of customers shop with us, and making recommendations of how to best leverage through marketing and merchandising levers
  • Building relationships and working closely with Brand Marketing, CRM, Insights, Buying, Product, UX and Creative teams - as well as external agencies and suppliers.
  • Keeping up to date with customer and market trends as well as our competitors.


Skills and Experience

  • Passionate about customer experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong planning and organisation skills. Experience of multitasking and managing multiple complex projects and deadlines
  • Proactive self starter
  • Experience of coaching or people management
  • Ecommerce, FMCG, marketing or Shopper Insights experience
  • 2.1 degree or above from a good university
  • Desirable: Content Square, Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics experience
