The Role/Profile
The role will ensure the successful planning, coordination, and execution of changes within ORL. You will be responsible for the release processes, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring that changes are implemented smoothly while minimising disruptions to the business.
Key Responsibilities
Change Management:
- Develop and implement change management processes and procedures.
- Evaluate change requests for completeness, feasibility, and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Facilitate the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to review and approve changes.
- Ensure that all changes are documented, tracked, and communicated effectively.
Release Coordination:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases and updates.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to schedule release activities.
- Create and maintain release plans, including timelines and dependencies.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Communication:
- Act as a central point of contact for all change and release-related communication.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of changes and releases.
- Communicate effectively with various teams to ensure a common understanding of upcoming changes.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with changes and releases.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Work proactively to minimise the impact of changes on business operations.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to changes and releases.
- Generate reports on the performance and effectiveness of change and release processes.
- Use metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to optimise processes.
Key skills
- This role requires a strong understanding of ITIL practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
