About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and flexible Business Support Officer to provide comprehensive support in our Street Permitting area.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely processing of information regarding noticing/permit applications to ensure delivery of Network Management Duty performance targets set under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, The Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Highways Act 1980 and to assist in delivery of Network Management Duty.
The Council is always looking to continually improve the service provided to our residents and customers, which is why this is an exciting time to be part of this environment and the new strategies that will be evolving to deliver this, with Business Support playing a key role in many of the changes.

Candidate Profile
You will have the ability to think ‘outside the box' and a keen interest in Street Permitting.
You will have an understanding the impact that your actions will have on the environment, the everyday lives of the residents of Bexley and those travelling through the borough.
You will have good numeracy skills and a proven ability to work within a team environment.
The ability to follow processes, maintain excellent records of activity, prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met and work with minimum supervision is essential.
An excellent understanding of customer service requirements and a commitment to provide excellent customer service together with the ability to deal calmly and professionally with difficult and or sensitive situations is also essential.
