Blueprint recruitment is looking to speak with an experienced Structural Technician to work alongside a global multidisciplinary Engineering practice, on a permanent basis.
The Successful Structural Technician will be responsible for providing technical support in the preparation and coordination of Structural Engineering drawings and documents.
As the selected candidate, you will be part of a team made up of enthusiastic Engineers and Technicians to provide Engineering Solutions across a variety of sectors, including, Aviation, Rail, Water, Roads and Industrial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed structural drawings and plans based on Engineering designs
- Utilise AutoCAD and other software for Structural drafting
- Work closely with Structural Engineers and other team members to ensure accurate designs
- Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings
- Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards
- Ensure adherence to project specifications and guidelines
- Maintain organised and up-to-date project documentation
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and specifications
- Stay informed about industry standards and software advancements
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff
Key Requirements:
- A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or relevant field
- Proven experience as a Structural Technician in a Consulting or Engineering Firm
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software
- Knowledge of Structural detailing and construction practices
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
