SalaryWe have a fantastic opportunity for a Stud Groom on a Fixed Term Contract from April – September, to join our team here at B&W Equine Vets in Tetbury!
You will be working at our Willesley practice: B&W Equine Vets, Willesley Clinic, Byams Farm, Willesley, Tetbury, GL8 8QU
As a Stud Groom, you will assist with all stud activities and support vets during procedures including insemination, semen collection and embryo transfer.
Duties:
- Mucking out/Grooming, general yard duties
- Setting up of equipment and assisting vets in all stud duties
- General care of all horses on site including stallions and mares with foals
- All equipment cleaning and ensuring the correct equipment is ready for stud procedures
Skills / Experience:
- Yard or equine experience essential
- Flexibility and commitment
- Ability to handle heavy equipment
- Full clean driving license
- Time management and a good team player
Hours of work:
- This is a seasonal position needed from April to September where you will be working 45 hours per week, including evenings and weekends on a rota basis
The salary for this position will be in line with National Minimum Wage +3% cost of living increase.
