Job description

Job Purpose:
To deliver excellent and professional customer service in the Student Hub to a wide range of College visitors and customers Promote the College’s range of products and Student Hub services increasing student participation across all areas. Have an up to date understanding and knowledge of funding for 16-18 and Adult learners ensuring learners are fundable and enrolled on the correct course.
Key Responsibilities
1.Respond to the needs of customers promptly, politely and efficiently
2.Inform, advise on and administer the College processes for the provision of financial support to students.
3.Ensure a clear audit trail for all transactions including enrolment, admissions and financial support meeting
4.Have a clear understanding of all courses and other services offered by City of Wolverhampton College. Actively promote and participate in college open days and enrolment events, including during weekends and evenings
5.Handling enquiries in person, on telephone and online giving clear and accurate information as required
6.Provide guidance on courses, fees etc. using information on the college website and intranet
7.Pass on information to students and staff verbally or in written format as required
8.Deals with difficult or awkward customers in a calm, professional manner referring to other people as necessary
9.Contribute to the Student Hub team to ensure the college reputation is maintained at a high standard
10.Cooperate with team members with flexibility to ensure that the Service runs at maximum available capacity
11.Support and encourage other team members to contribute to the team’s objectives
Be an active team member motivated and enthusiastic in order to build team morale particularly at busy times
Other Duties and Responsibilities
• To carry out all duties in accordance with the College’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• To carry out any other duties as directed by your Line Manager.
