About us The UCL Global Business School for Health (GBSH) at UCL East campus is an innovative business school preparing future healthcare leaders to disrupt and reimagine global health systems. GBSH is dedicated to training and developing the next generation of leaders in the global health economy by building on UCL’s proud tradition of cross-disciplinary academic excellence in education and research. We have a fast-growing executive education portfolio with several international clients that we are offering customised programmes. We are launching a full suite of open enrolment programmes in early 2024. The interdisciplinary offering coupled with academic and practitioner expertise across healthcare makes our offering an exciting opportunity for stakeholders across the new health economy. About the role This postholder will work closely with the GBSH Marketing and Communications team, the Student Recruitment and Outreach Officer will lead, build and maintain the outreach programme for GBSH UG and PGT programmes in the UK. They will oversee the operational delivery of a programme of activities with schools, colleges and other organisations, both on and off campus, to attract UK students to UCL GBSH programmes with a specific focus on our UG programme. Moreover, they will focus on outreach work in schools and colleges in East London, where UCL GBSH is located. The role will involve working across the department, faculty, UCL East and the University, interacting with students and academic and professional staff, and will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of the outreach programme they establish. The Student Recruitment and Outreach Officer will also engage with relevant health sector groups and bodies to ensure that UCL GBSH attracts and supports potential students and employers in the UK health sector. About you You will have a degree or be able to demonstrate transferrable skills including analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving and self-management skills. Organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently is also essential. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to communicate with communities targeted by various programmes as well as bring colleagues on board for initiatives and projects. You will have the ability to inspire and influence a wide group of stakeholders and also be able to work to targets and prepare activities and budgets. You will have working knowledge of child safeguarding legislation and extensive experience of working in widening access/participation within the higher education sector and in managing complex projects, coordinating and engaging with multiple stakeholders. You will also be experienced in creating and delivering outreach activities, Student Recruitment and marketing and involvement in leading positive culture change or culture creation within an organisation.
