The Role and the Department An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is capable of working on their own initiative but also comfortable working as part of a small, busy team. The postholder will be based within the Disability Support Service which is part of the Student Support and Wellbeing Directorate within the Colleges and Student Experience Division. Disability Support is a University-wide service providing specialist advice and guidance for disabled students and staff working with disabled students, whether that is academic related or in another supportive capacity. The postholder will also work directly with the Director of Student Support and Wellbeing. The duties of the role will be to: Primarily, but not exclusively, support the Director of Student Support and Wellbeing in such duties as co-ordinating diaries, arranging and servicing meetings, maintaining and monitoring the emails received by the Director, filtering enquiries, drafting and preparing documents and organising events. Provide administrative support as part of the Disability Support Service Team. Apply a good working knowledge of administrative systems to answer queries and resolve problems from colleagues and others. Contribute to the development of office administrative systems, carrying out administrative processes and ensuring controls are in place to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Any other duties that fall within the scope of the job, as allocated by the line manager following consultation with the post holder.
