Job description

We are actively seeking a Student Wellbeing and Support Lead to become a valued member of our close-knit, highly skilled team. Newbattle Abbey College has a proud track record of meeting the needs of adults and young people at points of transition, helping them to change their lives for the better. Nestled within an 11th-century Cistercian monastery, our 125-acre parkland and woodland setting creates a college environment like no other. Responsible for all aspects of Student Support at Newbattle Abbey College, the role-holder will take a proactive approach to Student Wellbeing, engagement and belonging. Leading by example, the role holder will foster a sense of student community, supporting each student to build relationships across the college community. Newbattle Abbey College attracts many students who have experienced disadvantage, including a high proportion with disabilities and care experience. We are seeking a Student Wellbeing and Support Lead who possesses a deep sensitivity to the unique needs of our students and has a proven track record of supporting those facing challenges in their pursuit of academic success.
