The purpose of this role
To work within a region to ensure consistent, effective, and efficient routines are in place and the Business Support teams have the right capability to deliver these routines and to support consultants in meeting the needs of the organisations customers.
Role description
Finance / Project management:
Project management within our financial and project management system, CBS.
CBS Reporting
- Run complex reports (nationally), interrogate, and present the information using a variety of MS packages with an excellent understanding of the information presented.
- Commissioning of bespoke reports on CBS and Microsoft PowerBI.
- Monitoring projects (regionally and nationally) and alert Business Management Team of any areas of concern and actions to be taken.
- Continually improve yours and others project management skills and input into overall business decision making.
- Control of the month end, quarter end and budget management and reporting processes.
- Decipher that costs are posted to the correct place.
- Work with the Project Manager for Advisory Services to identify and ensure best practice.
Business Support:
- Produce complex documents for business managers for both internal use and customer use.
- QA your own work and the work of others.
- Enhanced support and guidance for both Business Support and Consultants at regional level.
- Close working with regional development managers and business managers to provide consistent, standardised efficient service.
- Working with departments to ensure timely reporting and accurate recording to fit with the needs of the business.
- Identify and provide staff training to ensure all Business Support staff are skilled to meet the needs of the business.
- Lead a regional team of Business Support staff (without line manager responsibility).
- Work with Regional Development Managers to drive business decision making.
- Ensuring offices are up to date with general organisational housekeeping for instance biographies & CV’s, newsletter publications, Q Pulse entries, organisational charts, distribution lists.
- To liaise with Marketing and support local offices on matters of local marketing for the region.
- Working with the RDM’s, Office Managers and the Training team to ensure the right training plans are in place for developing CBS skills throughout the region.
- Liaison with Central Estates Management when issues requiring regional input arise.
- To liaise with offices following internal audits to aid the formation of any action plans required regarding business or financial management.
Client relationship management:
- Ensure QA routines are understood, practiced, and monitored.
- Support national Project Managers to address areas to improvements with process and procedures.
- Coordinate implementation of LEAN working across the business with the guidance of the TPM.
- To contribute to the project to create a new CRM system.
