Subject Lead Geography Teacher

You will be the subject Lead of Geography at a school that prides itself on preparing children for their lifelong journey ahead. In Geography you will expose your pupils to a wide range of subject-related topics that allow students to access a real in-depth study of both human and physical geography. In KS3 topics covered include Tourism, The Ice Age, Natural Hazards, Geography in the field, The USA and Africa, moving onto Urban Issues and Challenges and The Changing Economic world in KS4.

This secondary school is based in Birmingham and is recruiting a permanent Subject lead of Geography (QTS). You will be teaching Geography to KS3, KS4 & KS5 pupils & inspiring both them and your team to exceed their targets. You will contribute to the success of the cohesive and welcoming department and academy. The role is to start in April 2024 or earlier if possible.
Salary: M1 – UPS3 depending on experience + TLR2b

• Hold a relevant Teaching qualification
• Have knowledge of teaching Geography
• Be able and willing to travel to the Birmingham area
• Have high expectations of yourself in your career and the pupils you teach
