Millthorpe School is seeking to appoint an inspirational leader and teacher to lead Music. We are looking for a highly motivated colleague, with a proven record or the promise of outstanding practice, to enable our students to be the best that they can be. This is a really exciting opportunity for a current or aspiring leader to continue to shape a subject that is striving to be outstanding.
You must be a highly effective and reflective teacher, with the confidence to teach at both Key Stage 3 and 4. All students study Music at Key Stage 3 and GCSE Music is an option choice at Key Stage 4. You will be committed to ensuring the highest standards for our young people to support their future learning and adult life.
Music is part of the Performance Faculty, which also includes Physical Education and Drama. You will have responsibility for the Music curriculum and of course our hugely popular Music extracurricular opportunities. The Arts are incredibly important to Millthorpe with the opportunity to work closely with the colleagues in Drama on school productions and wider school events.
