What do we want?

The children and young people we work with all have special educational needs and/or a disability.

Our children and young people are looking for an enthusiastic, happy and kind person to fill our 7 week Summer holiday play worker role.

You will be working in group sessions and will get children and young people involved in play and leisure activities such as arts and crafts, cooking and going out on trips in the community. You will work with other staff and volunteers in the group to make sure the children and young people are safe, cared for and are having a good time.

We are a fun loving team who are friendly and always ready for a good time and a laugh. We enjoy spending time with the children and young people we work with and the staff and volunteers who work alongside us.

We offer a wide range of different activities and group session short breaks services to children and young people aged 4 to18 who have a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. This lets the parents have a break and lets the children and young people enjoy themselves in exciting and entertaining play and leisure activities. The activities are for a mixture of primary and secondary aged children.

Whilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band – this ensures that pay steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours.
