**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced shop assistant to join our dynamic team. The Supermarket Assistant will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining inventory, shelving and ensuring a positive shopping experience. He/she should have previous experience working in a supermarket.
**Duties:**
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized market area
- Monitor inventory levels and restock products as needed
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
- Provide product information to customers and assist with their inquiries
- Implement effective upselling techniques to maximize sales
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
**Qualifications:**
-Must have previous experience working in a supermarket before.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management
- Proficiency in Arabic is a bonus but not essential
- Strong organizational abilities to maintain a tidy market environment
- Knowledge of phone etiquette for customer inquiries and assistance
- Ability to sell products effectively and meet sales targets
- Experience in upselling products is advantageous
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
