We are looking for an Accounts Supervisor to join our Business Services team. The successful candidate will work closely with Managers and Partners to deliver high-quality general accounting and taxation services to our clients. This role is ideal for someone who is recently qualified in ICAEW/ICAS/ICAI/ACCA/CIMA and is looking to further their career in a supportive and professional environment.
Day to Day of the Role:- Prepare sole trader, partnership, and corporate accounts.
- Handle more advanced jobs for review by Manager/Assistant Manager.
- Gain a general knowledge of tax, personal tax rules, and PAYE.
- Assist with the completion of PAYE forms, P11Ds, and P35s.
- Prepare VAT returns for Partner/Manager review.
- Engage in analysis and preparatory work for complex cases.
- Prepare company tax computations, including deferred tax calculations.
- Communicate effectively with the team to meet client and Partner expectations on delivery and accuracy of work.
- Maintain and develop client service and relationships.
- Review work of trainees and provide constructive feedback.
- Manage time effectively to complete multiple tasks to appropriate deadlines.
- Liaise with other departments to efficiently and effectively complete jobs.
- Participate in non-standard projects and initiatives.
- Contribute to team and firm-wide initiatives.
- Assist with the induction and training of team members.
- Work collaboratively to share knowledge and ideas.
- Support marketing initiatives as required.
- Engage positively with the business and advocate the firm’s values.
- ICAEW/ICAS/ICAI/ACCA/CIMA recently qualified.
- Good technical and compliance skills with limited supervision.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct and practice.
