SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for an interim Supplier and Procurement Manager for a business based in Nottingham. You will be responsible for building the Procurement process from scratch. This is a crucial role in helping to streamline the company's procurement and supplier processes, identifying opportunities to rationalise the supplier base and ultimately reduce the cost.
The role will support the Legal and Finance teams in building processes, governance and control around the management of the company's supplier base and end to end purchase to pay process.
This position is a hands-on job requiring experience working on Greenfield projects setting up processes and creating a function. You will require excellent organisational skills; as well as the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to promote mutually beneficial business relationships.
Suitable candidates must have a track record of implementing new tools and systems and processes from scratch. To be considered for this role you must be immediately available.
Responsibilities:
Identify and analyse current supplier base. Identify accountable owners, duplication and opportunities for rationalization.
Compile a database to manage upcoming contract renewals on a timely basis through appropriate procurement methods.
Conduct a full review of current processes, tools and systems. Recommend a cost effective, efficient and appropriate purchase to pay process
Where relevant, conduct tenders in the market, to identify new systems to manage the process.
Recommend and implement processes and governance to ensure appropriate accountability and control of all expenses.
Creation of a playbook for all new acquisitions to ensure prompt alignment with Group processes and controls
Ensure all changes to processes are fully ISO compliant.
Ensure accountability is driven to all business lines and functions within the group for management of own budgets and suppliers.
