JOB DESCRIPTION:Procurement Manager - International Packaging Supplier
 
The purpose of this newly created role is to lead the group procurement and supply chain, meeting business targets on stock/service and implementing the pre-agreed supply chain strategy
 
Reporting to the UK Operations Director, you will provide guidance and control all purchasing/procurement activities and contracts to ensure the purchasing services to the group are cost effective and at the required level to satisfy the needs of the group

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
As our Procurement Manager, your key tasks will include:
· Ensuring ESG, H&S and quality compliance from all vendors/suppliers using current systems
· Developing and delivering established purchasing strategies
· Participating in budget setting and taking responsibility for monitoring and controlling the budgeting process for purchased goods, serviced and logistics
· Reviewing and setting SLA's with suppliers
· Reach OTIF target for all sites
· Optimising supply chain management with site General Manager, within inventory levels, service and contributing to reducing total cost
· Contributing to the leadership team for the overall performance of the group within the Central team
· Ensuring that site teams are aware of EHS policies, procedures and standards that are relevant and monitor, evaluate and review compliance of these.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION:Procurement Manager - International Packaging Supplier
 
We would be very interested to receive applications from Purchasing professionals from the packaging/paper industry, however we are also interested in applications from other manufacturing sectors. As our Procurement Manager, you will:
 
· Ideally be qualified in CIP's/MCIP's.
· Be a strong negotiator.
· Have a proven track record of leading change initiatives and good project management.
· Have knowledge and the ability to assess the Engineering and Supply industries.
· Have excellent organizational skills
· Be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
· Be able and willing to travel
· Be ambitious, credible, and comfortable in dealing with both internal and external contacts. Reliable, tolerant, determined and an empathic communicator, well presented and business like.

Globally they are known for their multi material Packaging Solutions but in the UK and Europe, they also specialise in conventional Corrugated, timber, plastics, foams and steels.
