My client are a manufacturing & Logistics business based in Gosport who are seeking a Supply Chain Administrator to join the team due to growth.
This role is an ongoing role and you will be responsible for carrying out administrative duties that support the planning and logistics function and ensure the smooth running of the Supply Chain department. These include-
- Procurement & Supplier Data Maintenance
- Quality & Compliance Checks
- New Supplier Administration
- Cost Saving
Job duties
- Set-up of new supplier
- Setting and approval of new product
- Routine monitoring of Suppliers of Finished Goods
- Maintaining list of approved suppliers and products
- Routine updating of compliance documents (supplier certificates, product documentation) e.g. annual update
- Create declarations of conformity (Food Contact), test reports for customs clearance, ingredients certificates, declaration of origin, TSS NI EORI declarations
- Document preparation to include, product specifications, product and label images, certificates e.g. BRC, PEFC
- Liaise with freight forwarders; obtain quotes and arranging the subsequent import, arranging timely transport to ensure smooth transition of the site waste management.
- Creation of import documents and international shipment of machine parts.
- Actively resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Knowledge of using an MRP system is an advantage
Skills Required
- Excellent admin & office skills
- Data literacy - strong numerical reasoning.
- MS Office competency, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Good interpersonal skills, especially to be able to communicate externally with suppliers and internally with colleagues.
- Good time management and organisational skills to meet timescales and deadlines.
