Role:Supply Chain Coordinator

Main Purpose
We are seeking a senior Supply Chain Coordinator to work with our Supply Chain Coordinators based at Queen Alexandra Hospital. The purpose of the role will be to ensure that an effective and efficient materials management service is provided , ensuring Client's expectations are exceeded on a personal and team level. The role holder will seek to influence and encourage Clients towards standardisation products and release cash savings
Key Accountabilities
- To represent and promote the managed services and their efficiency alongside the corporate values at the Trust.
- To support the Site manager in the effective delivery of the managed service at PHU and the day-to-day management of the service.
- Provide advice to customers and liaise with Suppliers using persuasive skills to improve performance and delivery within the Supply Chain Service.
- Develop and understand full range of Supply Chain policies and procedures amending and implementing where necessary to enhance the service offered.
- Purchase goods and services through systems against contracts as requested by budget holders ensuring contract compliance and standardization initiatives are fully utilised.
- Train and support Supply Chain Coordinators in all elements of their role and ensure the agreed levels of service are achieved and exceed customer expectations.
- Lead Supply Chain Coordinators with routine material management reviews and make appropriate recommendations to achieve cost effective stock holding.
- Ensure all stock review meetings are scheduled and completed six monthly and document all changes to provide clear audit trail.
- Take responsibility for allocation of work, appraisals, absence, recruitment and selection decisions, personal and career development of all team members with the support of Site manager where necessary
