Supply Chain Director

JOB – Supply Chain Director
LOCATION – Oxfordshire
TERM - Permanent
SALARY – £70,000 - £95,000 per annum + bonus and benefits (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a Head of Supply Chain, Supply Chain Director, Manager or similar job title for a manufacturing business in the Oxfordshire area. Your main duties will be to oversea the Supply Chain function of a high end manufacturing business.
The Supply Chain Director will ideally have the following attributes:

• Previous experience working as a Supply Chain Director, Manager or head of role.
• Proven experience withing a manufacturing / engineering businesss.
• Capable of leading Supply Chain functions at a board level.
• Able to improve, optimize and overhaul a Supply Chain.

• Can communicate with other members of staff and other members of management.
• Knowledge of engineering and manufactured products.

• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Experience within regulated manufacturing industry (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Devices, Electronics or Marine) - Advantageous.

The Supply Chain Director role will involve:

• Supplier management and evaluation, monitoring pricing and cost effectiveness
• Finding and selecting new suppliers and negotiating terms and pricing
• Developing planning/purchasing strategies, to ensure cost savings and supplier performance targets are met
• Monitoring quality and performance of service within the department, with the implementation of KPIs
• Lead the Supply Chain team to develop, train and improve other Supply Chain hires.
