Role: Supply Chain Lead
Location: The Harborne Hospital
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 0800-1630
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/ week

We are looking for Supply Chain Lead to play a key role in driving the Supply Chain transformation program across the Harborne Hospital, which is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital opening in Birmingham in 2023. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital will have the deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery.
The Harborne Hospital is part of HCA Healthcare UK - a group of seven private hospitals, four NHS partnerships, a research institute and network of outpatient and primary care centres in London and Manchester, that provide a depth, breadth and complexity of care on a scale unmatched in the independent sector.
The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust, as part of our HCA UK Joint Ventures. This role will implement best practice principles across the site, creating and delivering value to the organisation from the Supply Chain department.

What you’ll do:
- Leading, implementing, measuring, and directing Supply Chain activities within the operating room/surgical services
- Supporting theatre operations through inventory management and fostering a collaborative environment between Supply Chain and the clinical surgical services team members
- Assisting other stakeholders in promoting clinical integration within Supply Chain
- You will serve as the liaison between the Supply Chain department and the local theatre department. Supply Chain functions include, but are not limited to, inventory management, vendor relationship management, and managing supply expense in accordance with plans and objectives

What you’ll bring:
- High level of education – to Degree level & or working towards a Supply Chain Qualification would be desirable.
- Previous Supply Chain management experience including team leadership
- Prior experience of working within a Supply Chain position
- Computer literate
- Excellent communication skills
