As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating all areas of business activity related to procurement services across Europe. Working closely with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders, you will develop and implement strategic procurement plans to support the successful execution of construction projects. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans and policies to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of services required for construction projects across Europe.
- Manage and coordinate procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance evaluation, to meet project requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand project scope, schedule, and budget constraints, and align procurement activities accordingly to support project objectives.
- Identify and qualify potential suppliers and subcontractors, conducting due diligence and assessing capabilities, reliability, and performance.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and partnership to drive mutual success.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, including delivery reliability, quality of service, and compliance with contractual agreements, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies in all procurement activities, including ethical sourcing practices and adherence to procurement procedures.
- Analyze market trends, Supply Chain risks, and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, business administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in Supply Chain management, procurement, or purchasing roles, preferably in the construction industry or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and processes, including strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating teams to achieve goals and objectives.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize procurement processes and outcomes.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence and persuade others to achieve desired outcomes.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
