The Role:
Supplier Management
- Develop and maintain robust commercial relationships with suppliers, fostering positive collaboration and realizing commercial benefits.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to contractual obligations, conducting necessary audits for both UK and overseas partners.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to efficiently manage supplier relationships and achieve effective metrics through collaboration with our Supply Planner.
Quality Management
- Establish and enhance the Supplier Quality Management process, ensuring compliance with industry standards, including ISO9001.
- Take ownership of supplier product quality, driving measurable improvements, and overseeing non-conformance reporting and corrective actions.
- Manage documents and data for overall Cost of Quality management, presenting findings to Senior Management.
- Continuously enhance internal quality control processes.
- Analyse data and trends to identify areas for improvement, devising strategies to enhance product quality.
- Manage suppliers to ensure On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery and maintain quality standards for our customers.
Skills Required:
Essential
- Over 2 years of experience in supplier management.
- Ability to interface with management, providing clear and actionable reports.
- Analytical thinker with a knack for challenging the status quo.
- Proven excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with various Quality and Supplier tools.
Preferable
- Degree or CIPS/Management qualifications.
- Prior experience in line management.
Role Expectations:
- Occasional travel is required to meet suppliers in the UK, Europe, and Asia. While travel is not frequent, day-to-day operations will be based in our client office, with hybrid working options available.
- Ability to lead and implement processes and best practices independently.
