Due to continued growth and the securing of new contracts, my client is looking to hire a Supply Chain Manager to join their highly skilled team. This is a strategic role that will drive forward the purchasing and procurement functions, within a rapidly expanding engineering company. The successful candidate is expected to identify, engage and negotiate with suppliers, drive the savings objectives and deal with risk mitigation. This includes short to long-term strategic Supply Chain planning. We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures.

The Candidate:
*Excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience in the use of an ERP/MRP system is essential for this role
*Strong planning skills and project management expertise
*Strategic planning and thinking, systems analysis and evaluation.

The Role:
*Planning deliveries to meet production demands.
*Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationship with suppliers.
*Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices.
*Implementing logistic strategies, tracking goods from the origination point to the warehouse, and from our warehouse to customers.
