We are working with a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing & Distribution business who are looking for an Operations & Supply Chain Manager to join their site in Manchester.
Responsibilities/The Candidate
- Will lead and manage the supply and distribution operation and customer service function.
- maintaining good distribution practice (GDP) ensuring patients and clinicians have full access to medicines via a robust and accurate Supply Chain.
- The Supply Chain can be complex, with product allocated at a global level therefore networking with corporate Supply Chain is critical to sustained product availability.
- To manage the operations department and evaluate contribution, performance, and development of direct reports.
- Management of product shipments and release into the UK and ROI to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time without incurring customs delays.
- Maintain and submit monthly forecasts for UK and ROI to ensure appropriate stock levels.
- Responsible for overseeing, managing, and evolving the Company's overall Supply Chain and logistics function, ensuring all operational, regulatory, and contractual obligations are met.
- Management and development of effective partnerships with our distributors to ensure our distribution contracts are fulfilled and KPI'S met to ensure effective supply of goods to our customers.
- Review, develop, improve, maintain, and update all Supply Chain tools, documents and working practices in order to ensure Good Distribution Practice (GDP) compliance and effectiveness of the Supply Chain function.
- Manage and develop the Customer Service function ensuring orders are processed accurately and in line with customer requirements.
- Be an integral part of the batch release team to ensure products are released for sale in line with regulatory requirements.
- Review and evolve current sustainability practices, carbon reduction plan and activities to determine where improvements can be made, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and contractual requirements.
Qualifications/Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Supply chain management experience.
- Knowledge of GDP, Import and export experience.
Salary
- 50,000 - 55,000
