About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Supply SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a vibrant school located in Barnsley. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the head teacher and SENCO.
- Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
- Prepare and present engaging teaching aids and resources for learning activities.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
- Understanding of the national curriculum and knowledge of any relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, resilient, and positive attitude.
