JOB SPECIFICATION POSITION: Supply Teacher SUBJECT: Cover Supervision and general cover SALARY: £130-£190 per day CLOSING DATE: May 2024 START DATE: ASAP or September 2024 LOCATION: Redditch B97A fantastic mainstream secondary rated 'Oustanding' with Ofsted are looking for a full time Cover Supervisor to work on a term time only plus inset basis (39 weeks per year) - to start ASAP or September 2024. We are looking for someone who is committed to raising the progress and attainment of students of all abilities through outstanding learning and teaching.
The school have gained Behaviour Hub status, demonstrating the exemplary behaviour of the students. The school consistently achieve outstanding success with both GCSE and A Level results.
The Cover Supervisor will:
• Complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes, it may also involve progress and monitoring students and assessing, recording and reporting on students achievement, progress and development.
• Be responsible for students’ learning and behaviour in those circumstances where a teacher is not available to teach a class or where a group of students need special supervision.
• Manage the provision of cover supervisors and day to day management of Supply Staff
• Manage the cover of teaching staff ensuring the smooth delivery of Teaching and Learning.
