Support Contract Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for a Support Contract Engineer to join us at Express Engineering, an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer based in the North East of England. With nearly 50 years of experience in machining and assembling critical subsea components and systems, we are a market leader in the specialised products we produce. 
Along with a salary of up to £29,000 per annum, you will also receive an enhanced employer pension contribution, a generous contractual sick pay scheme, an employee assistance programme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and sports/social clubs allowing access to an onsite gym and squash court.
The main duties of the Support Contract Engineer role will include:

• Responsible for the creation and control of pre-production documentation according to client specifications.
• Working alongside the Contract Engineers to ensure documentation is submitted on time and to project requirements.
• Creation, submission and control of Notifications of Inspection and sub-supplier documentation in line with internal and customer requirements
• Ensuring effective transfer and receipt of relevant information between Express Engineering and the customer to ensure projects achieve planned delivery timescales.
• Generate, submit and control shipping of completed goods, liaising with internal personnel to gain confirmation of despatching and invoicing transactions, and working with the customers representatives for collection of goods from site.

To be successful in this Support Contract Engineer role at Express Engineering, you should:

• Strong ICT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office programs
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skill
• Be organised and able to work to defined deadlines
• Have the ability to work as part of a team or as an individual
• Be comfortable in a customer facing role
• Be experienced in developing and maintaining relationships
