SUPPORT PLANNER, RUSSELL HOUSE, NEWARK, SALARY: £23,268 - £25,773 (FRW06 £21,153 - £23,430 FTE PLUS 10% NON-CONSOLIDATED MARKET ENHANCEMENT), 37 HPW, PERMANENT
Russell House provides temporary accommodation for single homeless people aged 16 years and above and have a local connection to the Newark and Sherwood area.
The service is made up of 15 self-contained units and is staffed 24 hours a day by support workers. The aim of the service is to provide a safe secure environment for our residents and work with them to achieve goals identified in their support plan before they move on to more permanent accommodation.
We are looking for reliable and self-motivated candidates who have experience of working within an accommodation-based service. An understanding of the issues facing people affected by homelessness, and an awareness of the support needs the client group presents with is essential. You will be preparing support plans to support service users achieve objectives.
The main functions of the role are:
- To ensure that clients and the building are safe and secure.
- To build the skills and confidence of service users to empower them in maximising their independence.
- To contribute to the achievement of contractual service obligations
- To work in partnership with other agencies to maximise service delivery.
- To prepare documented assessments and support plans with service users
