Please note – you must be a car driver for this role.
At Avon Support’s Community Hub we support individuals with learning difficulties. This is a 7-day service, providing in house and community-based activities.
We are looking for Support Workers to join our team to promote independence in a fun and inclusive environment.
You will be supporting people to develop their life skills and independence, encourage learning and developing skills that are fun and engaging too!
We have a new kitchen set up for individuals to take part in cooking sessions, we also have a room for discos and parties, our own coffee bar where individuals can make drinks or learn barista skills!!
We also have a chill out zone upstairs where activities can take place, a chill zone for relaxation and video games, interactive screens, I.T station and a sensory room.
No two days are the same, we organise various trips out to concerts, bowling nights, cinemas, social events, meals out and plenty more!!
All our trips and activities are discussed and decided by the individuals who use our service.
For this position you will be able to work on your own initiative and have an engaging personality. We are looking for Support Workers that have the drive and passion to add a positive impact to the individuals we support, someone who is competent in planning daily activities, and encouraging people to participate in fun activities and promoting independence. An upbeat and enthusiastic individual who has a positive approach would fit the team perfectly.
