Job Title: Support Worker

Reports to: Senior Lead
Salary: £11.25 per hour - £12.50 per hour.

Hours of work: Full time or Part Time. You must be flexible to work earlies, lates, long days or sleep in’s.
Annual Leave: 28 days.

Job Description:
· To actively contribute towards the maintenance of a positive culture within all KYS’s services, to be solution focused and promoting a positive attitude at all times.
· To have responsibility for the day to day running of the individuals houses, ensuring all legislation, company policy and processes are adhered to at all times.
· The ability to make decisions within your role and seek support/advice from management when necessary.
· To ensure all individuals receive the correct support, advice and encouragement.
· Maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the individual’s home, encouraging the individual to take responsibility for this.
· Supporting individuals to live independently, including: budgeting their finances, housework, appointments and cooking.
· Motivate and support individuals with activities.
· Be responsible for the safeguarding of the individuals we support.
· Administer medication when required – full training will be given.
- To write and compile reports, update risk assessment (when necessary) and to ensure all tasks are completed on systems correctly.
- To implement support plans and risk assessments.
- Being committed to build healthy, professional relationships with the individuals and their families, social care workers and all KYS staff.
- To attend training and workshops to further your knowledge.
- To manage your own personal development through self-assessment, supervision and training.
Person Specification:
· To hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 childcare qualification.
· Experience of working with young people/ adults with complex health, social care and education needs.
· Knowledge of legislation relevant to supported living and Adult and Child safeguarding.
· To proactively engage with all individuals to maintain safe boundaries and relationships.
· Self-motivated and committed to the role with a ‘Can do’ attitude.
· Have good communication and listening skills.
· Flexible approach to the company and role.
· Able to work independently and strong skills in time management.
· Can use a range of technology, such as internet, emails, databases, phones / IPAD’s.
You will be given a fully structured detailed induction, ongoing training, development and coaching to help you feel confident in your role and to help you advance in your career.
