The Grace Eyre Foundation is a charity based in Brighton & Hove and the wider Sussex community that has been working with people with Learning Disabilities and autistic people since 1898. If you are motivated, and enthusiastic and wish to provide a high-quality service for people with learning disabilities and autism we would love to hear from you. We are looking for a Support Worker to work in individuals’ own homes across around Crawley and Horsham areas.
The role involves promoting individuals’ independence by enabling them to build on their strengths and achieve their goals, dreams and wishes. You will be supporting individuals in their own home and in the community. As a Support Worker you will be supporting all aspects of daily living, including personal care, cooking, budgeting and to attend activities in the community.
This role will be worked as part of a rota with a variety of support sessions with our individuals, ranging from two hours to eight hours per session.
We are looking for people who are patient, compassionate, understanding and able to use their own initiative.
