We are recruiting 3x full time Support Workers to work within our Adult Supported Living Services in Newton Mearns, Glasgow. If you are caring, passionate and keen to learn and develop within the social care sector then this is the perfect role for you!
Your new opportunity
Mearns View is a supported living service based in Newton Mearns, Glasgow. The support team at Mearns View provide 24 hour support to five men with a diagnosis of Autism and other additional support needs. Our service aim is to ensure the men who live at Mearns View live a happy and healthy life filled with opportunities to fulfil their potential and aspirations. Our staff provide support with a range of activities from swimming , horse riding social events and also support with learning at college.
This is a full time, permanent position working 39 hours per week.
Working pattern
Our service offers a 3 week rolling rota for staff, which allows for forward planning and a better work life balance. A full time post typically consists of 3 x 13 hour shifts on a rotation. Part time roles consist of 3 x 8 hour shifts or 2 x 12 hour shifts. We will consider individual requests depending if hours and pattern fits the service. Sleepover shifts are paid at an hourly rate of £10.90 and Premium rate for waking nightshift is paid at £11.88 per hour between midnight and 7am.
What you will need to succeed/bring to the role

- Resilient, reliable and an excellent listener.
- Good IT & communication skills.
- A full driving license is desirable.
