Job title:Support Worker- Children
Reporting to: Clare Moore (mother)
Nature of the job role: To assist with a variety of tasks which will support a young girl with autism to link with social opportunities and activities within the community and occasional support at home
Duties:
Personal duties: Personal care as and when required
Social Duties: Support with socialising in and around the local community and in identified club settings/at home.
Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary. These duties may vary from day to day.
Hours of work:
6 hours per week. - Saturday 1030-430
+
6 hours once monthly to include care for 7 year old sibling
(Flexible hours to be mutually agreed likely to be Friday or Saturday evening)
Rate of Pay:
£12.50 per hour + travel as and when required (rate to be agreed)
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
Knowledge and experience of social care and autism spectrum disorder
Experience working with children
Effective communicator
First aid qualification
PVG check required
Clean driving licence, car and appropriate insurance
Must like dogs
Desirable:
Experience within other social care settings/environments, SVQ or relevant social care qualifications.

I am an 12 year old girl with autism and I’m non verbal. I have pica which means I eat things which aren’t always food and I’m fast on my feet, so I need watched at all times. I live with my mum, dad, sister and dog and I love spending time with my grandparents and family friends. School is important to me.
I love routine and I’m pretty persistent and know what I want!
