Support Worker

Salary: £23,950 per annum
Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential guidance and support to residents, helping them transition to independent accommodation. As a Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of their residents, while empowering them to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-board and off board residents, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
- Introduce residents to the CHA Pathway and provide relevant information about their new property
- Explain the license agreement, house rules, and consequences of non-compliance to residents
- Assist residents with online housing benefit applications and license agreement signing
- Maintain internal software with housing benefit references and tenant documents
- Conduct weekly support sessions for residents
- Create and update risk assessments and support plans for each resident
- Connect residents with local support services and promptly respond to their inquiries
- Provide guidance for accessing food banks when necessary
- Manage resident expectations regarding housing
Qualifications:
- Compassionate and empathetic individual with a strong commitment to helping others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to complete paperwork accurately.
- Knowledge of housing benefit applications is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing service requirements.
- Knowledge of local support services and agencies is beneficial.
