Proud to be not-for-profit, at Sanctuary Care we provide high quality care homes where people are looked after with the utmost dignity and respect. At the very heart of everything we do is our mission to go beyond the standard expectation of providing great care, by doing everything we can to enrich the lives of the residents we are privileged to care for, their loved ones and as importantly, our dedicated and valued staff.
Millport Care Centre is in the town of Millport on picturesque Isle of Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde, only a 9-minute subsidised ferry journey from Largs. We are lucky to be located 100m from the award-winning Newton beach with some amazing views across the Firth of Clyde over to Arran and Ailsa Craig.
Our team is supported by our activity coordinators to provide meaningful activities to enrich the lives of our residents and housing support service users. We support and encourage our service users to access local groups, activities, as well as shops and cafés. There are regular trips to the mainland for shopping, cinema, swimming, and meals out with family and friends; we encourage the use of public transport to improve community relations and socialization skills, we also have a minibus for the use of group trips. We ensure that there are always planned activities available and a selection of activities available at the service user’s request.
We endeavour to make Millport Care Centre our resident’s home and always have a warm welcome for any new resident or for any relatives visiting, as well as providing support to maintain important relationships, through various means from visits, phone calls, emails/letters, and video calls.
Our residents will always give you a warm welcome, and brighten your day, they embody the Magic of Millport in everyday life, and show the true meaning of care.
